my ideal job!! B:

hi people!!

i want to tell you that my ideal job is the animal production specially equines, although also like bovines and suines.

i like animal production because i had previously experiences related to this area and i thought that it was very interesting.

one of the advantage of the area of animal production is that not many people is interested in this subject, that's why there's a lot of  posibilities to work, in the contrary the area of little animals (cats and dogs) it's full of veterinarians working in the area and it's hard to get a good job.

i have always dream of working in pllaces like "club hipico" or in a dairy and i would really like working the future with some of my classmates.

i would like to be an independent worker, to have my own work time and be my own boss, so i could go to the places i work only when people need me.

one of my proyects is to specialize in equine reproduction and if possible work in other countries like the united states where this is an important subject.

Anatomy I love you!!!!

My favorite subject considering only the first year is anatomy. In anatomy we learn all about the body structure of animals such as canines, equines, bovines and a little bit of felines. Till now we have learned about bones, muscles, joints and nervous system. I mostly like bones because they are the estructure whose differents parts are the most easy to indentify.
The classes are divided in two sections, teoric and practical. In the teoric one the proffesors show us many pictures of the structure we are studying, while in the practice we watch the real structure that in the class we saw in pictures. They are three professors that teaches us this subject: Victor Toledo, Marco Mancilla and Ricardo Olivares.
I have two mains reasons to love this subject. One; because is the closest subject we have to Veterinary Medicine and two; I think that it is very didactical to study because I don't fall sleep when I study for the test. In the practical section I like making videos that when I study in my house help me to understand better everything I read in the manual.

The professor who I admire the most

Her name is María Soledad Fernández Garay, she is the professor of Microscopic Structure and Development in our faculty. Her academic degree is a Master in Biology and she has a professional title of Medical technologist.
Besides teaching, she has done many kinds of investigations and studies related to our field , like for example, she made an study  of Bioinspirated Materials, Biomineralization, Biomimetics and others.
I really admire her as a professor because she knows how to treat her students, how to comunicate with them and how to make them like her. I think that until know she has been the best professor we've had. She is always available for us because she is willing to help us with any kind of problem or doubt we have. In class, she teachs us well, answering every question that comes, even if it is very stupid. It is important to say that her class is very entertaining, and that, is one of the most importants facts that make me love her.
I think every professor in this faculty should follow her example, except, of course, our english teacher that she is also really great!  =)

 Hi.

Since I was a child I really love animals, especially horses. I love to play with them, but know I don't have any time because I'm too involved with the university!!

Now the vet school is really awesome. I love watching all the horses, dogs and every kind of animal in the university and I really like the campus. It’s very relaxing being here because there are a lot of green areas and the air is much more pure in here that in the center.

I would like to work in production of animals (pigs, horses or cows) because for me they are the most interesting areas in my career.

So I will do my best to work in one of these areas!

My name is Francisco i'm 19 years old  and i'm from peñalolen,santiago, chile. I'm studying veterinary medicine in the University of chile. I like listen every kind of music with the exception of metal and stuff like that. I really enjoy hang out with my friends to places out of city or parks in the suburbs of the city. I always go to visit my friends who live out of city and really enjoy it much!!!
